Expectations…

Saturday, September 29th, 2007

For months, we waited for the Season premieres of Heroes, Greys Anatomy and recently, House too. Last night, after reading Yevka’s post, I became aware of Private Practice… so that makes it +1.

Heroes… as it’s Season ender… it was disappointing. It was actually boring that hubby fell asleep while watching it. I almost did too but I held on.

House… was alright. He doesn’t have his team anymore, so it was weird to watch it with just him.

Private Practice… at the start, I felt like I was in twilight zone coz “The chief” from Grey’s Anatomy was there to have the scene where Addison files her resignation to move to LA. It was ok… but it feels like it won’t last very long, unless their writers get a good angle to keep their audience intact.

Out of the 3+1 Season premieres only one finished in flying colours and lived up to its promises…I save the best for last, GREY’S ANATOMY. I just finished watching this… so I am still a bit “high” with it. Just like it’s Season ender, it started in the same “amazing” level they left us off last season… the premiere ends with us hanging & eager for more… just like how every series should be! So..till next week! :)

It kept me intact from start to finish. Amazing in every bit till the very end. CONGRATS to it’s writers… We, the fans, are still addicted to it! :p

NOTE: I couldn’t help but download all these episodes yesterday. I had a great connection that I was able to watch them even before I had to meet hubby after his work at 6pm. :)

My Desktop

I saw this post from Cheche. Kahit hindi nya ako tag.. eh, I just felt like doing it too… hehehhe.  so here’s my desktop.  Patingin din nung desktops nyo. :)

My desktop is a collection of my favorite wedding pics taken by Paul Vincent which reminds me, I still haven’t selected the pics for our album.  Hala!!!

Oh and as you can see, there are very few things on my desktop.  I like to keep it clean.  I tuck my shortcuts in the Quick launch toolbar below, next to the Start button.  It’s much more organized that way. ;)  Oh and I was watching Stardust from Online Cinema that time. Thanks Jinky for sharing that site! :)

I’m tagging my Mahryska, Yevka, Glenn, Gracia and Queensy

27 September 2007

It was our 1st Civil Wedding Anniversary / Papi’s Birthday / Ariel’s promotion celebration.

We celebrated it all in one with our family and Godparents Tony & Nora Mamaril + Shirley & Pat Castro.

It’s amazing how time flies.  When we were, we couldn’t believe it’s already been a year since our Civil Wedding

It was simple.  It was fun.  It was filling to the tummy! hehehe.

Check out the pics by clicking on the pic below.

S02E01 “Four Months Later”

Tuesday, September 25th, 2007

Out of the blue, Yevka appeared in Skype today. Rang me and asked technical questions about downloading Bitlord. I assisted and shared with her my recent amazing discovery à TV links

For the past 2 weeks, I have been copying the embed codes of Smallville Season 3 & 4 episodes from this site & posting it to a private blog to watch from home. I had to do this because Etisalat (unlike Du) blocks this site. KAINIS!

Anyway, I suggested Yevka to watch Heroes online instead of download it since with her internet speed it will take 10 years to download the Bitlord installer to begin with. So I gave her the link and had a look at their Heroes section.

OMIGOSH!!!! They already posted the new episode of Season 2!!!!! To think this was only aired last night in the US. AMAZING!!! How I wish we have DU internet!!!! Waaaahhhhh!!!

Yevka was so happy! Even if the buffering took quite a while for her, she was able to watch 30% of it before leaving her office! Bad girl! Heheheh. This is what she said.

Here in Dubai, there is no buffering. It’s almost immediate! It is way cool! Makikinuod kaya kami kila Jinkay tapos kabit nya sa LCD TV niyang 32”!!! WINNER!!!

Podiobooks

Tuesday, September 25th, 2007

As I seek to find a good source of moderate distraction from my work, I discovered this wonderful resource of Podiobooks in iTunes.

I came across WRIGHTALES.  It’s great for multi-tasking addicts like me, who needs to do more than 1 thing-at-time so that I don’t get bored with no-brainer jobs. :)

I particularly chose this coz I wanted to feed my “young heart” with lovely stories.  It’s nice. :)

Oh, I stumbled upon Deep thoughts too.  That one is more like tickle to the brain… interesting & funny thoughts.

Another day, in my simple life. :)
