(This was actually posted by mistake. It was supposed to be posted in our wedding blog along with the others. Thanks Queensy for commenting coz that made me realized that it was posted in the wrong blog!!! To think, I have been breaking my head as to how to put the video on the blog. Your comment was double purpose for me! It gave me the answer & the realization of the mistake!!! God is AMAZING!)

Be an instrument of PEACE

Friday, August 31st, 2007
As mentioned in my previous post, I organized my cabinet and came across this printed email of 14 August 2004. I set it aside coz it could be useful sometime. When I read Queensy’s blog, I realized that this email message was for her… So, here I am being an instrument of PEACE to Queensy and to myself (hopefully).

Habits of Enlightened Souls

1. BE QUIET. At least once a day, sit down. There is a source within each one of us called the spirit or soul. It is a crime to disturb inner peace. This peace is our power to create positive things in our life. Try speaking softly and slowly that your usual way.

Speaking this way is more powerful because it attacts the peace in others. Just be aware of your words. Savor their energy and rhythm.

2. LET GO. Don’t hold on to anything with your hand or with your mind. Many think that doing this means losing. If you don’t release the old, you can’t get anything new. This requires detachment.

Letting go means moderating excessive attachment to material possessions, to emotions, ot to the status quo or comfort zones in our lives.

3. LET IT BE. We are great ficers of other people’s lives. We’re trying to write somebody else’s script. We are absent from our own lives because we’re busy living the lives of others. Acceptance and contentment are the first steps to health relationships.

An example is our appreciation of the moon, which is beyond change. We never dream of wanting to change or influence it, nor have we the slightest remorse that the same face of the moon is always turned toward us. We have no need to see the dark side. Extend this deep feeling of acceptance to the people we meet.

4. LISTEN IN. Use your intuition, the inner tutor and the voice of wisdom. Because we have held on to our false beliefs for so long, we ignore and distrust our inner voice and tell it to shut up. The process of enlightenment is the procress of learning to trust that inner voice once again.

Example is the conscience as intuition at work. When we misbehave, the voice of conscience alerts us to our mistake. We may shun that voice, engaging in reason as the ally of ego to justify our deeds.

Yet the troubling intuitive disapproval of conscience will go on to make its rebukes. We can either suppress the advice or repair the wrong.

5. WAKE UP. Habits are programmed by our external conditioning. Write down your habits then decide which ones to strike out and replace them with virtues. Visualize the virtue you want to create and empower that image.

For example, if you want to develop patience, visualizemyourself as a patient person. watch, feel and manifest patience in every action you do until it becomes a behaviour. Waking up is to consciously choose your behaviour and thereby create the personality you want. Never believe anyone who says, “you can never change.”

6. KNOW YOURSELF. Look behind the Ï want”attitude, those desires that make us need things that are not necessary. The truth is, happines is a choice, not a chore, a decision to bring out from the self. Affirm that you are happiness, a source of happiness.

7. PASS IT ON. Take one idea from this article then pass it on to another. You empower yourself and the other as yuo share this truth. this is also giving value to the time you spend readint thist.

Life is like a river, constantly flowing. The highest purpose of rivers is to nourish plants and people who are fellow travelers in the journey of life. Our highest purpose is to nourish others.

Like the river, the greatest gift one can give is wisdom. Through this, you empower yourself as well as others.

Try these habits one by one.

My name is Maeyo. I am a MULTI-TASKING ADDICT.

As you can see from my screen, I was doing the following at the same time:

  1. Researching on some blog thingies I could add to this site.
  2. Uploading our wedding video to Sharkle (a step towards our Supplier Ratings)
  3. Creating a Livesignature for this blog
  4. Bloghopping (Erra’s blog)
  5. Downloading Smallville Season 3 for hubby via Bitlord
  6. Watching Smallville S03E01
  7. Monitoring YM to see if there is someone I could chat with

AND outside the laptop, I am doing the following as well:

  1. Doing the laundry (front-loading machine - THANK GOD! It comes out ready to dry out.)
  2. Organizing my clothes cabinet/wardrobe

SIGH.

Since today is Friday, my House Chore Day… and the only day I can do stuff at home while Hubby is at work, I have so much set to be accomplished today.

  1. Completely sort out my stuff in the cabinet (I have been putting this off for ages. Today is the day I have to accomplish it! …especially since I bought some organizing tools from IKEA ;) )
  2. Upload all 3 videos of our wedding & post on our wedding blog
  3. Finish the laundry (includes washing, drying, folding & storing in their respective places)
  4. Clean the room
  5. Sort out our CD/DVD in the storage boxes I bought
  6. AT LEAST, get the Wedding Supplier’s Ratings done 30%.
  7. Cook for hubby (need to be extra careful in choosing the menu today as he is having a very bad tummy)
  8. REST?!

UNREALISTIC expectations?! Hay naku… in my head, I have so much short term goals pa like the following:

  • Check Flight costs to NZ (pinatatanong nila Mami)
  • Sort out wedding pictures for printing & CD
  • Send copies of wedding pics + CD to Ariel’s Family, Principal Sponsors & Entourage
  • SAVE MONEY
  • Get shelves for more storage space in the room
  • Go to the dentist to correct the badly done fillings in Bulacan (it’s been so painful ever since! Good thing I am determined to eat! hahahaha)
  • Pamper myself at the salon!!!
  • Make my fave crepe at home
  • Do our budgetting system
  • SAVE MORE MONEY
  • Change the colour of the room walls.
  • Print pics to frame & display in our room
  • PIMP my Ride - PJ (with the designs Karen & I came up with)
  • Upgrade my credit card to get more airmiles for our movie tickets
  • Get an IN-SITE internet credit card to safely purchase online
  • Travel to NZ & OZ

ANG DAMI DAMING gusto ma-accomplish!!! Super chaotic na sila sa brain ko. Wish ko talaga minsan I have multiplets. hehehe

“I PUSH myself so hard. If others have smoking or drinking or gambling… I have this!” <shrug>

Side Kwento: No Wonder I am dead tired last Friday! From 3pm, I was already lying in bed exhausted out of too much set to be accomplished! Di tuloy kami nakapunta sa Baby Shower nila Glenn & Scheela.

At hindi pa ako nakontento, last Sunday evening after work, I totally rearranged the furnitures in the room! At least, I had the best sleep I had in months!!! FINALLY!!!

with reference to my post below… it’s obvious that when the opportunity to shop at IKEA knocked at my door… I RAN like there’s no tomorrow!!!! hhahahhaha..

Hubby wasn’t feeling well, so straight from work I went to Festival Centre to pick him up. They had a late customer that kept them working overtime for an hour. Well, I was in my fave shop so I had no problem waiting at all.

Look what I took home!!!

I shopped for mostly stuff for my new found fave hobby - COOKING!!! Mas masaya kaya magluto if you have the fancy tools :D

So… paninindigan ko na ito! Since I love eating…I might as well love cooking too! :p

FOR WANDA

Improvised Pork Giniling

When the ground pork was cooked, I added chopped Cocktail hotdogs. I sprinkled in some dried Rosemary into the meat mixture to give it a nice aroma. I added a dash of Tarragon & freshly ground pepper also. Before taking it out of the fire I sprinkled some mixed herbs (combo sya eh - I think it has parsley, basil, & thyme). Konting konti lang po. Kung baga teaser lang sa tongue. Also, instead of putting only soy sauce, I added some Oyster sauce to give it a sweeter taste.

Disclaimer: I’m no expert at this but it turned out well so I guess I was lucky! By the way, before I decided to put any herbs, I smelled them first & imagined whether that particular herb would suit the dish. Parang Rataouille!!! :D <– That’s something I’ll blog about soon!

TILL NEXT TIME!!!

BLAH! lazy thoughts…

Thursday, August 30th, 2007

Sigh. I am suppose to be working on our Supplier Ratings… BUT! I am tinatamad to do so.

I didn’t cook last night so feeling ko I wasted my time lang. Sigh.

I was looking into planning our Honeymoon (part 2) on our 1st Wedding Anniversary… still not decided yet…if we are going or not… Malabo ang NZ & OZ dahil hindi pwede mag-leave ng matagal si Hubby… tapos medyo parang maraming unplanned expenses so di possible. Maybe hindi pa time. We might consider Europe instead.. may special offer ang Skywards ngayon! Free plane ticket din yun!

I am in mood to shop in Ikea for my cooking stuff… but maybe I should hold up till next month. J

I was looking into planning the travel pero for some reason parang wala ako sa mood to go through the visa formalities… WAAHHH!!!

Ewan… just lazy these days.

Anyway, yun na yun muna… Once we decide on our holidays… tsaka na ako maging excited about it… I’d rather not be disappointed so… ENSURE muna! Will definitely BLOG it!

Should’ve just bought that lazy cake (choco cake) at Circle kaninang lunch.. surely suited my current mood. Blah!
