Last night, Don, Karen & I attended the Labor Aid event wherein our officemate Ruth was singing in the choir. It was nice coz aside from us getting the feeling of Christmas, we are also helping out. It’s sweet of them to actually reach out to these “builders of the Dubai”. They are the vital people who make these mushroom building spring up and yet they are the most abused lot. So, it reached into my “missionary soul”. I felt great that somehow, I was able to contribute.
It actually inspired me to get back to my “former missionary” self.
Side kwento: Before I found hubby, I did ask God for enlightenment as to whether I was meant for the missionary work. I have always had a soft spot for it and always felt the greatest fulfillment from doing those.
Last night, I realized how I lost touch on that side of me coz I took a more secluded & pessimistic stance unfortunately. Well, I guess it’s time to be reborn emotionally & spiritually and get back on track.
This Christmas I will be working on this. It’s perfect coz I will be on local leave. I will have more time to do the things I want to do. Ang trabaho talaga…abala sa life. hehehehe.. if only we don’t need money. :)
