Poidy and I have been shopping buddies for as long as I can remember.  Shopping, having coffee, dining at different restaurants and going for salon treats were the things we used to always do.  I remember that I had the “shopaholic” tendencies far worse than her.  When we would enter a shop.  I would go all around the shop, grabe everything I fancy, try them on and when I can’t choose from 2 to 3 or more pieces, I end buying them all!!!  She would just leave the shop with 1 piece! :pullhair:   Well, at least later on I don’t regret not buying the item because sometimes when she returns to purchase it, it’s not there anymore.

Anyway, since I got engaged and we somehow parted our ways, we had a tough time making time for each other and doing these things we love.  I settled down and she pursued her dream career in photography.  It was after my maternity photoshoot that she introduced me to this new way of shopping….for us anyway.

She showed me where she got the really nice dress she was wearing that day…from Dubai Style Diary.

Well, I have exposed myself to online shopping ages before but they were not as accessible as they are now.  This got me really excited and I got so engrossed to buying clothes that I purchased 3 items on my first purchase as I enthusiastically blogged about here.  I couldn’t help myself!!!  I was like a kid in a Chocolate factory!!! The transaction was such a breeze and she was really nice when she delivered the stuff at my place.

Next stop, I discovered (or was it them who found me) Pinay en Kikay.  I shared this with Poidy.  Next thing you know we were shopping buddies again!  She purchased so many items that my meagre 2 piece purchase was nothing compared to hers. hehehe.  So I just had my stuff shipped to Dubai along with her stuff.  What a purchase!!!  What I loved about this online merchant is that she accepted Paypal because it made my purchases much easier than having to send money via Western Union or Bank deposit.  I still have quite a few more items that I want to order with her.  She’s been a real darling in helping us get our orders shipped to Dubai in a day or two!  She was very accommodating with the changes that I requested and we just loved doing business with her.  Oh by the way, here are the lovely dresses I purchased.  I love the quality of the dresses!  The white dress was made of substantially thick fabric that in spite of being white, it’s not see through.  The scarf dress is just beautiful and the satin material is not the cheap kind.  I can’t wait to wear them! I’m so happy because I can wear them even now that I am 9 months preggy!!!

People at Dubai Style Diary and Poidy were commenting that my baby is just so kikay!!!  Poidy said, “We know what baby will inherit from us - Shopping!” hahahahhaa.

I have one more online merchant that I am dealing with who is a real treat to do business with.  I won’t mention her yet because I am yet to receive the items from her but I am already loving doing business with her.  She is so enthusiastic in dealing with her clients I couldn’t help but want to buy more things from her.  From our recent chats, I discovered that she is so helpful and not just into the money.  When I mentioned about shipping to Dubai, she even suggested cost-effective ways in which we can ship our things without costing us 2 arms and legs!  Plus, she was more concerned about providing good quality customer service because she made it a point that I send her the payment only after she receives the shipment.  She said, she doesn’t want to have to face complaints from me if she encounters any problems with her supplier.  Customer Service par excellence!  I am a real fan of good customer service and usually that is what I look for more than the item I purchase.  Anyway, I will rave more about her soon as I receive the items I ordered. Oh and yeah, I introduced her to Poidy as well… this is going to be a very expensive hobby!!! hahaha.

Before I end this post, I would also like to talk about some unpleasant experience with an online merchant.  I do not want to make any presumptions but I just don’t like the treatment I am getting from her.  Since, I will be arranging for shipment for the items I am buying, of course I would like to make it cost-effective by buying in bulk (many items at a time).  It is normal to inquire about the dresses individually, of course I will be paying for it with my hard-earned money.  I feel that this merchant thinks I am a bogus buyer because I keep asking questions about her wares and haven’t filled any form.  Well, if she is used to clients who buys by piece… that is just not how I work.  I inquire about all the ones that I like and once I have decided, I will fill in the form with 5 items or more!  Mind you, I will buy and pay for them on time.  I started to feel this when she ignored my inquiries about some items and yet answer the questions of those after made by another client after me.  I had to actually fill in a form just to show her I am serious…  Ah well… let’s see how it goes in the next few days.  If it doesn’t improve, I will bring my business elsewhere.
