I had a doctor’s appointment today. Actually, it was funny because all these time I thought my appointment was 10:30am. I forgot to check my appointment book. It was only when I checked that the book was in my pocket that I discovered my appointment was 3:00pm.
I went ahead to the hospital anyway. I’m glad they took me in in spite of coming in waaayyy too early for my appointment. When they took my vitals, I was surprised that in spite my ‘extra eating’ these past 10 days, I didn’t gain any weight! Although, my tummy feels much larger than 10 days ago.
The appointment is slightly different than usual. Aside from the usual USS checking, she also did an internal exam this time to check if I started effacement and do a test for Group B strep.
Anyway, I’m glad that my blood sugar test came out normal. Hurray! She advised me to take lots of rest, continue with my diet, eat more veggies and salads. My appointments will now be every week. If I feel any pain or observe a different discharge, I should immediately go to the hospital. She said that I will be observed for 2 weeks and if baby doesn’t grow any bigger after that, I will have to go on delivery!
Whaat?! Force baby out of me?! :hala: Can’t I just wait for when it’s time?!
Ah well… I’ll just keep at it then. Let’s see what the developments will be next week.
For the mean time, I need to look at computer desks. It’s getting more and more difficult to sit and work from home. I feel like I am squeezing baby when I sit down in front of my laptop. I need to keep taking breaks by lying down every few minutes. One thing’s for sure, I will be getting lotsa rest if I keep taking these breaks. Doc’s orders!

Well, we only get 45 days Maternity leave. I am just adding in some of my annual leave so that I can extend my time with baby. Actually, I am already lucky that my boss herself let me work from home instead of travel 1 hour or more a day to go to the office. Plus, she even arranged that I transfer this year’s balance leave to next year so that I can take it after Maternity leave.
