Clear

When I found out that I was pregnant, one of the first things I did was go through my vanity drawer and look at all the labels of the stuff I was using.  I inherited oily skin from mom, therefore, I had to endure problem skin almost even before I entered teen years. Add to that a sensitive and highly reactive skin and you have a case that only means ‘high maintenance’ for life.  Anyway, since I had quite a few acne products that I used to keep problems at bay, I had to throw them as I will not be using them for the next 9 months.  They had ingredients that were a major ‘No No’ during pregnancy.  It was actually one of the toughest things I had to adapt to for the pregnancy.  I had to go from truly vain (facials, treatments, what-nots) to absolute basic (cleaning with the most natural ingredients!) as I feared that anything I use will be absorbed in the skin and into baby.

I couldn’t even use anti-stretchmarks lotion on my tummy as the skin was breaking out because my skin became oily.  The great thing was that due to the oiliness of my skin, I didn’t get any stretchmarks!  Thanks to Mom’s skin! hehehe.  She also doesn’t have any stretchmarks even after 4 kids!!! :galeng:

Well, I am so happy to say that as I enter into the last month of my pregnancy, my skin has started to clear and it’s coming back to my pre-pregnancy state which is more on the dry side and clear.  :kikay:

I just truly hope that my baby gets her daddy’s skin.  Hubby has such clear, fine and fair skin which I loved staring at & touching during pregnancy! :pito: Hope that does the trick! :pacute:

Woo hoo for no stretch marks!! My skin is the same, super oily! I *have* to wash my face at least twice a day - I used to wash three times a day but since I started using toner its gotten a bit easier to maintain.
