My kind of WIN-WIN situation

When others are looking for career advancements, business opportunities and / or social status, my kind of WIN WIN situation is being able to do the simple things that I didn’t have the time nor the interest to do before…. like cooking.

Since I am a working wife whose hubby gets home before I do, I find such fulfillment in being able to cook special dishes for hubby.  He’s a great cook of Filipino dishes so I am letting him taste different dishes… not your typical homecooked meal. :)

Last night, I was suppose to cook dinner but Mami called and said that she made Chopsuey already.  I have been craving for Chicken Quesadillas since the previous night so I asked hubby if he can accompany me to Spinneys to buy some stuff as I want to cook for my baon and for dishes for the rest of the week.

Anyway, I did my research din and found this yummy Thai recipe of Beef with Cashew Nuts.  Panalo naman kay hubby & with my officemates. :)  Kahit ako sarap na sarap. hehehe.  Ngayon ko lang na-realize na hindi ko na pala nahiwa yung stroganoff beef strips. hehehe.  10pm na kasi nung naka-start ako magluto eh!

After the beef, I prepared the Chicken Quesadillas, individually wrapped them in plastic bags and kept them in the fridge.  When I got home today, I just heated it up and YUM YUM!!!!  Super!  Hubby was already so full from eating the beef yet when he tasted the Quesadillas, he couldn’t stop himself.  He ate almost 1 slice. hehehehhe  Busog na daw sya?!! hahaha. (He didn’t want to bring the beef as baon so he ate it for dinner instead)

Haaayyyy… I’m so full.

Why WIN WIN?

  1. I get to save money by bringing the food for lunch instead of buying
  2. I get to try out new dishes for hubby
  3. I eat meals prepared with fresh ingredients. Surely clean too!
  4. I inspire my officemate & Karen to try the dishes as well.
  5. I am doing something I’ve been wanting to do (Collect recipes & cook them!)

I can email the recipes on request. :)

    hi best,

    take care.

For sure meron namang Cheddar Cheese dyan di ba? Meron din Monterey Jack Cheese (or Mexican cheese), red bell pepper, garlic, onions, butter, chicken & fresh tortillas… Kung walang tortillas, I can give you a recipe on how to make your own tortilla rin. :)

Ingatz bes! pa-kiss kay baby!!! :)
