Personal touch

For weeks since my last post, I have been feeling like I just want to be out of the web scene. I just checked my mails and friends’ updates but didn’t want to participate in anything at all. It even came to the point that I wanted to delete it all – friendster, facebook, multiply and even this blog. Practicality sank in. The “f” social networks keep in me touch with friends and family who are all over the world… so can’t loose that. The multiply gives me ability to comment on friends’ multiply sites.. can’t be without that too. The blog…well, I have put money in it and it can generate money rin so I’ll be stupid to throw all my hard work away. So, eto na naman ako back in the “blogging” scene.

The truth of the matter is that one of the main reason I wanted to lay low was because I wanted people to “personally” ask how I am and not depend on this blog to update them about me. I just wanted that personal touch to it that seems to have dissolved in this crazy digital world. I did enjoy the long emails and chat ups from friends who did just what I missed – a personal hello and how are you. Kahit by email lang, the fact that it was sent for only my own viewing and that it almost felt like I was having a coffee chit chat with them made it so sincere and personal. Even more thanks to those who made the time to call. A big big thanks. You all sure made this mom-to-be even more happy. :)

Also, thanks to a particular friend who lent an ear and even let me be her shoulder to cry on during her recent toughest times. Kahit na I am thousands of miles away, being there for her was something I felt so fulfilled to do. I am glad that you are feeling so much better now. Iba talaga when you know the meaning of “keep in touch”. Hehehe.

Yun na muna for today. For sure, you’ll be surprised that by the time you read this, I will have more than this post as an update even though this blog has been offline for a while. Well, this is the beginning of the NEW BLOG – Life in the slow lane.
