This is one of the things I miss most in Philippines: TV COMMERCIALS

My childhood memories are filled with them. I can remember quite a few even until now.

TV COMMERCIALS are a big thing in the Philippines. The more attractive or catchy your commercial is the more tendency that your product becomes a household name and talk of the town. Ultimate product exposure and eventually, purchase…then of course $$$$$ profits! So I think companies in the Philippines put a lot of their investments into commercials (TV or Radio). Pinoys are into what is new and what is hot. Plus, the moods of the Pinoy consumer changes quite easily so companies should keep up in reminding them of their products.

What I love about them is the ideas… AMAZING! Often times SIMPLE but VERY EFFECTIVE!

In Dubai, probably because it is such a multi-cultural diverse market, it is difficult to strike the right chord with every single one. For me, with standards based on Pinas Commercials, I often find myself irritated…even annoyed when I hear crappy commercials on the radio or see them in the cinema. Don’t get me wrong. There are really good ones like the Chevrolet Kung Fu commercial. Those are quite rare.

Anyway, thanks to Marj I am able to see some of them again! Here they are. They are just cool!

This one is a winner for me. It’s so SIMPLE… yet a BriLLiAnT IDEA!!! I totally those who come up with these “Simple but Brialliant” Ideas! It’s very effective because people (consumers) can easily relate to it and say “aahh..oo nga noh.”
