I received this on email today and thought that it would be good to share with parents and parents to be. A very interesting article - please share with other parents and to-be parents. My daughter showed me a copy of a letter written by her friend’s Dad on her 13th birthday. A few months after he wrote it, he died of a heart attack. Today, this letter is regarded as a family heirloom, shared not just with the immediate members of the family, but shown proudly to relatives and friends alike. I felt the message in this beautiful letter should be shared with as many people as possible. So I asked my daughter if her friend — the letter’s addressee — would allow me to reprint it in BusinessWorld. She said there shouldn’t be a View Full Post...

Today, I planned to give hubby a surprise mini- birthday celebration on the exact day of his birthday.  I had the family as accomplices.  Things were going great until 5:30 pm when hubby called in regarding an urgent need for him to go to travel agency to sort a prob with his bro’s visa.  Karen & I needed to make a quick stop to pick up 1 food item we ordered on the way home.  I decided to send hubby to Deira immediately so that he doesn’t miss the 8pm deadline.  Karen & I now have the prob of going home & picking up the food on the way.  It seems we will be stuck here for a while.  L  To think I’ve been wanting to go home early as it is the weekend.  L   I think I just want to cry now. So this is how I should post videos here… through my Multiply!!! If I knew that when I wrote this post, I would’ve made more kwento. Anyway, I think now I will do that. I took Sunday off (it is the first day of the work week in this part of the world) so that I can also work on changing my passport to my married name. Also, it is the first time in 2 months, since Karen took maternity leave, that I am off work. I left home for the Consulate as early as 7am. We got stuck in unexpected traffic due to a very tragic car accident. Anyway, we got there and we waited for the people to come in at 8:30am. I didn’t know that when I pass my application for new passport it was just a schedule for encoding in my details on a much later date after which I will have to wait a month to get my new MRP (Machine Readable Passport). I could’ve gone the other way of asking View Full Post...

I have so much kwento about how exciting it was for both of us and hubby really made it a point to be there even though all odds were against him… I even have short clips of our princess that I wanted to share but finding the right way to post it really irritated me so… I lost my mood to blog… well, this will have to do for now. Sorry Beau… you will have to be like you dad “idol” - the only thorn among the roses. ;) SHARETHIS.addEntry({ title: "it’s a….", url: "http://maeyonnaise.com/archives/374" }); View Full Post...
